Josh D’Angelo, PT, DPT

Josh believes that movement is the most important commodity in our lives. He received his BS from the University of Michigan in 2010 and his doctor of physical therapy degree from The George Washington University in 2013. He is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedics and speaks internationally on the topics of physical therapy, leadership, and global health. Josh was recently awarded The George Washington University’s Distinguished Young Alumni Award and the American Physical Therapy Association’s Societal Impact Award. He currently serves as the CEO and co-founder of MovementX, the mobile physical therapy company that developed the AgeProof Your Body series.

Meredith Black, RN

Meredith a registered nurse and personal trainer who believes that AgeProof Your Body exemplifies how movement can change lives, reveal newfound abilities, and culminate in big accomplishments. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2007 with a BS in Psychology and from VCU in 2011 with a BS in Nursing. Meredith is certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) for Personal Training, Sports Nutrition, and Functional Training, and is nearing completion of her certification for Health Coaching. She offers mobile personal training services with MovementX and loves helping people achieve their health and fitness goals in from the comfort and safety of their own homes. Meredith lives Falls Church, Virginia with her husband and two cats. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and crafting.

James McAfee, PT, DPT

Born and raised in Southern California, he earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA, then attended USC for his Doctor of Physical Therapy training. He currently lives in Seattle, WA helping individuals take ownership of their movement health. James is the primary instructor for AgeProof’s Tai Chi classes but also enjoys teaching strength and activity-specific exercise classes. Outside of work, he enjoys playing sports, running long distances, and spending time outdoors with his friends and family.

Kirsten Kupras, PT

A California native from Sacramento, Kirsten’s passion for a healthy and happy life resonates throughout her work. She received her BS in exercise physiology from California State University, Chico and her masters degree in physical therapy abroad at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. Kirsten specializes in the treatment of women with pelvic floor conditions, recreational runners, and working professionals. Outside of MovementX, Kirsten enjoys running the Oregon trails with her dog, Dozer, teaching yoga, cooking up new vegetarian recipes, and traveling the world.

Fred Gilbert, PT, DPT

Fred is a doctor of physical therapy and board-certified orthopedic specialist with a passion for movement education and empowering people to see that their best movement is ahead of them–no matter what their age. He received his BS in biological sciences from Clemson University in 2011 and his doctor of physical therapy degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2015. He served as President of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Student Assembly Board of Directors and moved to Arlington, Virginia in 2018 to help launch MovementX. He works with clients of all ages and diagnoses and has a special focus in chronic and complex orthopedic and vestibular conditions. Fred is the creative brains behind many of the exercises and themes you see throughout the AgeProof Your Body series, where he loves to say “Keep your standards high and your squats low!”

Scott McAfee, PT, DPT

Scott is a doctor of physical therapy and board-certified orthopedic specialist who believes in a world where anyone–regardless of age–can move healthy and live an active life. Originally from Los Angeles, Scott received his BS in physiological science from UCLA in 2013 and doctor of physical therapy degree from the rivaling school of USC in 2016.  Scott has held various board, committee, and delegate positions within the American Physical Therapy Association, served as clinical faculty for several schools in Southern California, and was named one of the Top 100 Physical Therapists by Clinicient in 2016.  After moving to Arlington, Virginia in 2018 to help launch MovementX as well, Scott now serves as its CMO and continues to treat patients in their homes, gyms, or offices to help them decrease pain, prevent injury, and live a better life.  In his spare time, Scott loves traveling the country, playing various sports, blasting loud music, and laughing with his friends and family.

Natasha Beauvais, MD

A family medicine physician with NVFP, Natasha was raised in Manchester, NH and received her BA from Yale University.  She then received both her MD and Master of Public Health degrees from the University of Connecticut. She cares for the whole family and whole person. Having lost two grandparents to preventable diseases, Natasha developed a personal compassion for the difficulties of Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s dementia.  She has a fondness for grandparents everywhere and values long-term patient relationships.  In her spare time, she enjoys mothering her four children, gardening with her husband, and taking family hikes in the woods.

 

Ethan Warner, PT, DPT

Ethan was born and raised in Northern Virginia and grew up participating in a wide array of sports and activities. He earned his BS in Kinesiology from Westmont College and his DPT from the George Washington University. He then completed a 2.5 year residency in Orthopedics and Functional Manual Therapy through the Institute of Physical Art where he was mentored by the head PT for the Washington Nationals. As a Certified Functional Manual Therapist, Ethan treats patients with MovementX through an integrated holistic approach to improving function and quality of life. Ethan and his wife, Tammy, live in Los Angeles and enjoy the outdoors and a healthy, active lifestyle.

 

Keaton Ray, PT, DPT


Originally from Southern California, Keaton received her BS in Athletic Training from University of the Pacific and her DPT from Duke University. She now lives in Portland, OR with her husband, Stu, and corgi, Atlas. Keaton specializes in reducing pain, increasing strength, restoring mobility and balance, and optimizing performance. She’s worked with clients across the lifespan, from those who have never exercised a day in their lives to advanced athletes looking to take their performance to the next level. As one of the co-founders of MovementX, Keaton is passionate about bringing together diverse leaders to create positive change in our healthcare system.

 

Dave Smith, PT, DPT

Dave is deeply passionate about providing care for underserved populations. After graduating from James Madison University, he received his DPT from The George Washington University. Dave is speecialized in a variety of different treatment techniques, such as dry needling, posture analysis, ergonomic evaluation, and neurodynamic mobilization. Outside of his practice with MovementX, Dave enjoys spending time cooking, reading, playing basketball, weightlifting, and playing guitar.

 

Heidi Im, PT, DPT

Heidi is a doctor of physical therapy and board-certified orthopedic specialist focusing on mindful movements. She received her BS in Information Systems from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and worked as an Enterprise Architect at General Electric. After a snowboarding accident and two shoulder surgeries, Heidi was inspired to switch careers. She received her DPT from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and worked in a variety of settings for burns, acute care, spinal cord injuries, aquatic therapy, and orthopedic rehab. Heidi enjoys learning new skills, staying up to date on evidence-based research, and traveling the world with her husband, James

 

Molly Weinbender, PT, DPT

Molly received her BA in Biology from the University of Portland and her DPT from Pacific University. As a doctor of physical therapy with MovementX, Molly is highly specialized to treat pelvic floor dysfunction, including incontinence, pelvic pain, leakage with exercise, and postpartum conditions. She also treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, such as lumbosacral dysfunction and hip pain. Molly and her husband spend lots of their free time renovating their 1901 home in Portland, OR. They also love to spend time outdoors with their young son, Jake, and golden retriever, Rosie.
